It was reported that Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group (Jiugang), one of the leading stainless steel manufacturers in China, recently said that its stainless steel output reach around 850,000 tons in 2019, slightly down from the previous year, mainly because Jiugang adjusted its products items and structure, as well as cutting output of ordinary products.

According to the adjustment, Jiugang’s output of 300 series stainless steel dropped by more than 40%, while the output of certain new products, such as ultra-pure ferritic stainless steels, duplex stainless steel and martensitic stainless steel, was doubled.

Besides, Jiugang adjusted its target sales market, developing near markets but decreasing the business range in East and South China.
